We are delighted to have become a member of the Universities Policy Engagement Network. UPEN is a network of organisations interested in the way academic evidence is used in policy and practice. We’re one of the first members outside of academia, and our membership reflects UPEN’s interest in the wider ecosystem of those supporting evidence use in policy and practice.

Our membership reflects the fact that we want to connect our work with thinking and research on evidence use from other sectors and academia. It enables us to stay on top of the very latest thinking about how to make scientific evidence work for local decision makers, and enables us to shape the work of others by describing the specific challenges and opportunities of the context we’re working in. We are very much looking forward to playing an active role.
