Our approach
Making Evidence Work is born out of our shared belief in the power of prevention and early intervention, our understanding of what it really takes to unlock the power of real-world evidence, and our knowledge of how local systems operate. It is built around our core organisational values of humility, curiosity, equity and collaboration.
Practically, we work in collaboration with others to:
- Design tools and resources to support evidence use within local family support systems.
- Contribute to professional development programmes, peer networks or other opportunities for local service leaders to engage on evidence use.
- Provide bespoke support for local leaders, helping them to develop evidence-informed family support systems.
- Create opportunities for discussion and debate about the role of real-world evidence in family support
- Connect wider learning on evidence use, implementation science and knowledge mobilisation with the children and families sector

Real world evidence
Three types of evidence really matter when it comes to planning and delivering support for babies, children and young people: experience, context and science.
